Add to plan Remove from plan

Adventure calls in the Georgia wetlands where a half mile boardwalk, 54 foot observation tower, picnic area, bathrooms, fishing areas and an education center are waiting. The Grand Bay Wildlife Management Area (WMA) encompasses 2,623 acres of state-owned property and 5,874 acres of land under license from the U.S. Air Force. The WMA consists of approximately 3,059 acres of upland pine and hardwood forest and 5,438 acres of cypress/gum wetlands. This WMA offers hunting opportunities for deer, turkey, small game and waterfowl. These are open to the public after 2 p.m. on school days and all day on weekends, holidays, and during the summer. The center also offers education programs and field trips. Students can experience a positive connection with the natural world and their place in caring for the environment.
